POCUS Workshop
Please join us Sunday, September 27 for a Essential Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop, led by Christian Falyar, DNAP, CRNA, FAANA and Nicolette Hooge, DNP, MBA, CRNA, FAANA,—a hands-on experience designed to build real, practical skills you can take straight into clinical practice.
With only 20 participants per slot, this workshop keeps it small so you get meaningful, one-on-one instruction.

What You’ll Work Through (Hands-On):
Ultrasound-Guided Vascular Access
- Connect vascular anatomy to what you see on ultrasound
- Confirm arterial vs. venous flow using Doppler
- Practice in-plane and out-of-plane needle techniques
Ultrasound of the Airway & Pleura
- Identify key structures in the anterior neck and pleura
- Confirm endotracheal tube placement with ultrasound
- Locate the cricothyroid membrane with confidence
- Perform lung ultrasound and recognize pleural findings

What should I wear?
During the day, anything from business to casual dress is appropriate. Evening attire is at your discretion.
Does COANA report my CE credits?
COANA reports all credits to AANA. You must complete the Program Evaluation and Learner Assessment survey which will be sent to you electronically following the event. In order to receive your credits and certificate of attendance, you will need to complete the learner assessment evaluation.
What is the COANA registration cancellation policy?
Refunds for full or daily registrations (minus a $100 processing fee) will be given for all written cancellation requests received at COANA Headquarters by August 28, 2026. Email cancellation requests to [email protected]. After August 28, 2026, or for no-shows at the meeting, NO refund will be given.
How do I confirm hotel reservations?

When is the hotel room block discount cut-off date?
The cut-off date is August 28, 2026, or until the room block is sold out. For additional information, please review the hotel information listed above.
Parking information?
Hotel Clio offers valet parking only. COANA’s special discounted parking rate for overnight valet parking is $48 per night, and daytime valet parking is $18 per day. (These rates reflect a 20% discount.)
